Detour of Clan Ronin has submitted a film for
1.2.0 titled Win!
This movie shows that sticking it out till the end can be worth
it. Sadly
Barbar had to leave.. he didn't quit because he thought the game was
lost and tried to hand over his realms as good as he was able to. A
really tough game that was very enjoyable and exciting till the very
end!

Kohan.net has been replaced by a teaser splash screen... Also, they
have opened up a new
Ahriman's Gift forum.

Kohan: Immortal Sovereigns is set for a European release date of
October 11, 2001. If you can read French, you can check out
Ubisoft and
even the new French KIS site. ;)

Ahriman's Gift is slated for a mid-November release--TimeGate
Studios plans to have the Ahriman's Gift web site up this week. For
those that don't know what AG is...it is a stand-alone "expansion" to
Kohan: Immortal Sovereigns. Check out the press release,
screenshots, and links to previews here.

Note to
Mapmakers
Before you submit your maps, I ask that you do the following:
1. Put your name in the Map
Description (Created by..., Map by...., whatever) so that players know and
remember whose map they are playing.
2. Not necessary but useful
for players to get a quick glance at what your map is like...fill out a
read me text file. Check out any of the maps available on the site
for download and then alter the text appropriately.
3. Put the map and read me in
a nice little .zip file and send them
along.
4. AI's don't need to be
zipped...Films should be zipped.
Eventually, I'll put up a
Submissions Guidelines page. If you could do these things, you will
save me a lot of time. Thanks. :) |

As I bore witness to the tragedy of September 11, 2001 there were so
many images that were forever burned into my mind and soul. But among the
more hopeful shots of our valiant rescue workers, New York's Finest and
Bravest, and the many volunteers risking their lives to save others, there
was one moment that epitomized the Spirit that is America. Later in the
day, I was watching the television coverage when building number 7
collapsed. As the camera panned in on the destruction of that building,
dust, smoke, and debris filled the air, obscuring the view, and as the
dead and the dying still waited to be found, there it was on an adjacent
building. Tattered. Torn. But still flying.
I could not help but think of the following words:
"Oh say does that Star-Spangled Banner yet wave, O'er the land of the
free, and the home of the brave."
The flag. My flag. The flag of the United States of America was still
flying. And it will continue to do so.
