I have been getting a lot of reports of Electronics Boutiques being
completely unaware of the Strategy First free game promotion...plus, mine
didn't know either (and I just came from there). I asked the clerk
if and when they find out about the promotion, if I can just bring my
receipt in. And while he said "yes" it remains to be seen if this
will actually happen. Also, unless you are lucky, they won't
pricematch their own website...so instead of $39.99, be prepared for
$44.99.

Okay, so it was all a big tease. They say the
6th...then 7th...then 8th. We all called every local EB
store asking about Ahriman's Gift. And even when they said they
didn't have it...we still stopped by "just in case." You
just wanted to take a look at the boxes for the free games. No,
really.
And so we have to wait to learn about all the new units,
ogle the new portraits, and fall in love with Roxy all over again.
Who says so?

It is Ahriman's Gift Day...it should be in stores today (typically
Electronics Boutique gets it first--EB's site lists the game at $39.99).
Strategy First is having several promotions to go along with this:
1) When you buy a copy of Kohan: Ahriman's
Gift, you will receive a year's subscription to Computer Games Magazine.
(mail in--I assume there is something in the box)
2) The EB promotion, starting November 5th to
the 11th, gives you the opportunity to buy any one of these six titles:
Kohan Ahriman's Gift,
Cossacks, WWII Online,
Rails Across America,
Steel Beasts and Patrician II
and then receive one of these titles:
Europa Universalis,
The Outforce and
Disciples Gold for free.
The promotion begins November 5th and continues until supplies last.
