You will now be able to download files directly from The Annex without actually having to go there--ie. direct links.  Direct links will say something like "Download from The Awakening" as opposed to The Annex. Voila!  No wait.  No muss.  No fuss.

In the coming days I will be updating all the downloads (except for patches and demos) to link directly.  So, don't forget to download those great AI, films, maps, wallpapers...etc.  You know you want to...it will make you feel good...everybody's doing it...

...the makers of Kohan will soon release a mod making tool that allows players to adjust the game in numerous ways. You can change the stats of any unit in the game, add new custom units and art. Our sources also indicate that you'll be able to adjust many of the global settings in the game.

Hearts of Iron is one of the first WWII PC games to encompass such a grand strategic scope.  The game map spans the entire world, including all nations between 1936 – 1946.  The game allows players to take the War to any new front of their own choosing, while focusing primarily on the epic struggle between the great alliances of the New World Orders – Fascism, Communism and Democracy.  Players are able to modify and construct their own settings and campaigns with the game’s scenario generator, which offers thousands of combinations, not to mention hours of gameplay.

WyldRage has taken the time to create Test Maps for each faction, allowing players to test two faction builds.  There are three maps in each download, pairing the named faction with a different one.  These are great tools for testing in a "clean" environment.  The maps are listed separately on the Map List under Specialty Maps but they can be found in the 128x128 section.

The first round match-ups for The Bearded Hobbit Guild's 1v1 Kohan League are posted here.  Patdumpsite asks that all competitors email their opponents to set up a date to play as soon as possible.  The first round will take place from April 1st and must be completed on or before April 10th.  See the official rules for more details.  Email addresses can be found on the League Member page.
